| Ingredients: |
| 6 tbsp | mayonnaise | 90 mL |
| 1 tbsp | lemon juice | 15 mL |
| 2 | garlic cloves, minced | 2 |
| 1/4 tsp | each, salt and pepper | 1 mL |
| 1 bag | 284 g prepared Italian salad greens | 1 bag |
| 1/2 cup | thinly sliced red onion | 125 mL |
| 1/2 cup | torn fresh basil leaves (optional) | 125 mL |
| 1 pkg | 65 g Schneiders Fully Cooked Bacon, coarsely chopped | 1 pkg |
| 2 cups | coarsely chopped tomato or halved cherry tomatoes | 500 mL |
| 1 cup | seasoned croutons | 250 mL |
Directions
Mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper; set aside. In a large bowl combine greens, basil, red onion, bacon, tomatoes and croutons; add dressing and toss. Serves 4 as a main course or 8 as a side salad.
VARIATION: Substitute prepared red wine vinaigrette or Caesar dressing for vinegar, oil, salt, pepper and garlic.
