Big Daddy Bacon Grilled Cheese Burger

How big’s your burger appetite? Try subbing in grilled cheese sandwiches for regular buns. Then, you’ll need something really meaty to put inside – our Country Naturals Angus Burgers. Take it from hamburger to slamburger!


2 Country Naturals® Angus Burgers

6 slices Bacon, cooked

8 slices White bread

4 slices Cheddar cheese

3 tbsp (45 mL) Softened butter


1 Tomato, sliced

1/2 Red onion, thinly sliced


1/4 cup (60 mL) Mayonnaise

1 tsp (5 mL) Smokey BBQ sauce

1/2 tsp (2 mL) Horseradish

Salt and pepper

1/2 tsp (2 mL) Lemon juice



Preheat BBQ to medium-high heat. Cook burgers according to package directions

Assemble 4 grilled cheese sandwiches by placing 1 slice of cheese on each of 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread and butter on both sides. Preheat a large skillet to medium heat. Grill sandwiches 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown

Whisk horseradish mayo ingredients together

Assemble the “Big Daddy Burger” by spreading horseradish mayo on one outer side of 2 of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Top with lettuce, a grilled burger, bacon, tomato and red onion. Spread horseradish mayo on one outer side of remaining grilled cheese sandwiches and place on top of built burger
