
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
HOW TO ENTER: Enter via the Internet by going online to www.schneiders.ca and completing the official entry form including: your first name, last name, complete mailing address, a valid email address, ten digit daytime telephone number, age, store banner where the two (2) participating products were purchased and enter the two (2) unique 10-digit UPC numbers. The UPC number can be found below the UPC symbol (|||||||||) on participating Schneider Food products, while supplies last. (For a full list of participating Schneider Food products, see rule 3). Next, answer without assistance of any kind, mechanical or otherwise, the mathematical skill-testing question, confirm compliance with the Official Rules and Regulations and upon doing so, click “Submit”. If you are a selected entrant for an Instant Win Prize, you will be notified on your screen with a “Congratulations, you are an eligible winner of” the instant win prize as described in Rule 2. If you are not a selected entrant for an Instant Win Prize, you will be notified on your screen with a “Sorry, please try again tomorrow”. By clicking “Submit”, you will also receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize draw. If you are selected for a Grand Prize (see rule 5), an additional mathematical question will be administered to confirm you a winner of a Grand Prize (see rule 6). The time that an entry is received by the Contest Sponsors will be the time at which it is received by the Contest Sponsor’s web server as determined in accordance with the applicable server’s clock.
To obtain 2 UPC codes without purchase, send a self addressed postage-paid envelope to “Schneiders Summer Thrill to Grill Contest” – Request for UPC, PO Box 9500, Oakville, ON L6J 0B6. Each request for two (2) UPC codes without purchase must be mailed in a separate outer envelope and be received no later than November 15, 2010. Limit one request of 2 UPC codes per person or household per day.
All entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm ET November 30, 2010 (the "Contest Closing Date"). The Contest Sponsors are not responsible for inaccurate, illegible, incomplete, late, lost or destroyed entries.
Limit one (1) entry per household per person per day per unique UPC. Only one (1) email address per person may be used to enter the Contest.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada that have reached the age of majority in their Province or Territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees and persons with whom they are domiciled, or a family member of an employee or person residing with a family member (defined as biological, step, or adoptive mother, father, daughter, son, sister, brother or spouse) of an employee, of the Contest Sponsors, their advertising and promotional agencies and the independent contest judging organization, or any of their affiliated or associated companies, and entrants will have to state in the Declaration and Release (if selected for a Grand Prize) their address, occupation and name of their employer to confirm they are not a person excluded from eligibility to enter.
This contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations. All decisions of the independent contest organization are final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion and the Contest Sponsors and the independent contest organization and the Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any accident, negligence, printing, administrative or other errors that may arise or occur in connection with the contest. In the event of a dispute regarding submission of an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized holder of the email account. A person entering a submission must provide a valid email account associated with a domain that can be identified by a reverse domain name search as part of their contact information. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to modify, amend or terminate this contest in whole or in part at any time without notice and with no obligation or liability, subject to applicable law and the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) with respect to the province of Quebec.

PRIZES: There are a total of four (4) Grand Prizes and two thousand (2000) Instant Win Prizes available to be won. 1 Grand prize will be awarded in each of 4 regions: a) Western Region (BC/AB/SK/MB/NWT/YT and NU combined); b) Ontario; c) Quebec and d) Eastern Region (NS/NB/PEI, NFL combined). Odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date in each region and may vary by region. Limit of one (1) Grand Prize per person per household.
Each Instant Win Prize includes:GRAND PRIZE DRAW: Four (4) random Grand Prize draws (one from each region as per rule # 4) will be conducted by the independent contest organization on or about 10:00 am ET ,on or about December 09, 2010 (the “Draw Date”) at 2390 Bristol Circle, Unit 3, Oakville, ON from all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. Each selected entrant will be contacted by mail or telephone within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date.
In order to win a Grand Prize, each selected entrant must; a) correctly answer without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise a mathematical skill-testing question posed by mail or telephone; b) provide a government issued, valid photo identification license; and c) be eligible according to the Official Rules. In the event a selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date, another random draw will be conducted by the independent contest organization, without any liability or obligation to the selected entrant whatsoever. The Contest Sponsors will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant. Each selected entrant will also be required to sign a standard Declaration and Liability Release form releasing the Contest Sponsors and their retailers, advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judging organization from all liability. The completed Declaration and Liability Release must be returned within fourteen (14) business days following receipt, or the prize may be forfeited. Upon receipt of the completed Declaration and Liability Release, each Grand Prize winner will personally take delivery of the; a) Broil King Regal Barbeque from a Home Hardware store closest to his/her home as designated by the Contest Sponsor and; b) Yamaha Vehicle from a Yamaha dealership closest to his/her home as designated by the Contest Sponsors within sixty (60) days of being declared a winner. The Yamaha Vehicle will not be released unless the winner first shows proof of having a valid license for his/her Province or Territory of residence and the winner has satisfactory insurance in the Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion.
In order to win an Instant Win Prize, the selected entrants answer to the mathematical skill-testing question upon registration must be determined to be correctly answered. Odds of being selected for an Instant Win Prize depend on date and time that you enter the Contest. Upon verification, the Instant Win Prize will be mailed or couriered to the confirmed winner within thirty (30) days.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. PRIZES ARE AWARDED AS IS, AND WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY THEREOF, CONTEST SPONSORS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER OF FITNESS FOR INTENDED USE OR PURPOSE. Entrants release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, their parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, members, dealers, advertising, franchisees, promotional agencies and each of their respective directors, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, officers, subsidiaries, agents, employees, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest (the “Released Parties”), from and against any and all manner of action, causes of action, suits, debts, covenants, contracts, claims and demands ,including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach and liability for injury, death, or property damage which the entrants or his/her administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might have or could have, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of the Prize awarded and from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the Contest and the awarding, use, or misuse of any prize awarded, including liability for personal injury or damage to property. By entering this contest, the entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, video image, and/or photograph in any publicity, advertising carried out in any medium by the Contest Sponsors and their agencies, advertising and promotional agencies or Internet posting without further notification or compensation. Personal information collected during the contest will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest , and for advising contest entrants of other promotions, contests and products of the Contest Sponsors and their affiliates, unless the entrant expressly opts out, and unless the entrant expressly opts in on the contest website to answer a short survey.
For Quebec residents only, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors upon receipt and the information will only be used for the administrative purposes of this Contest. The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Contest Sponsors on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or down loading any material in the promotion. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, subject to the consent of the Régie, to cancel or suspend the contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsors corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in anyway. Every potential prize winner agrees to cooperate fully with the Contest Sponsors in connection with any investigation undertaken by any independent organization and/or Contest Sponsors to verify his/her eligibility and to verify his/her compliance with the Contest rules and regulations. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final.
